Sovereign of the Firmaments

Chapter 20 - First Hunt

\'Ding,

Mission name:- First hunt

Mission details:- Kill 100 rank 1 spirit beasts in the Baron grounds of the \'Myriad Primordial Forest\'.

Mission reward:- Basic Magic recovery cultivation technique.

Note:- 1) The spirit beasts that were killed by the host without any help would be counted.

2) The host should not bring his powerful guardian for the trip.

Soon, the information regarding the mission appeared in front of Lucas.

\'I hope this cultivation technique will fasten the recovery of my magic power.\'

It was Lucas\' third time checking the mission details and he was hoping he would get a good cultivation technique as a reward.

The main reason why he was entering the Myriad Primordial Forest in a hurry was because of the rewards and it was clearly stated that he should not bring Bernard along with him.

After three days of training, Lucas got to know that his magic sea was naturally able to recover a single point of magic power per hour which means it would take more than four days to completely recover his magic sea.

So, he needed a magic power recovery cultivation technique very badly.

\'Anyway, with my strength of low-level squire, I can kill a rank 1 spirit beast without any problem and adding to the fact that I can use \'Thunder bullet\' that will injure even the rank 2 spirit beasts, Baron grounds is not a bad place for me.\'

Lucas could see the outline of a forest spreading thousands of kilometers and clenched his fists.

"We are short on members, anyone wants to join our adventurer group temporarily?"

"We can provide you with a good share."

"The Grayeye family\'s adventurer\'s team is in need of three members. If you do well, the grayeye family will make your position permanent."

"Join our Honorwolf family\'s adventurer\'s team. Even though we can\'t guarantee the permanent position, we will take care of your families if something happens to you after we enter the forest."

.

.

Various adventurer\'s teams belong to various families and separate families that were registered under the adventurer\'s guild were recruiting the members for their expedition into the \'Myriad primordial forest\'.

It was a common sight for those who entered the Myriad primordial forest and Lucas didn\'t bother to join any team or recruit anyone; instead, he silently entered the forest with his tier 1 lesser knight slave.

"Master, other than the spirit beasts in the forest, we also have to keep an eye on the other adventurers."

After entering a few kilometers into the forest, Lucas caught sight of two knights battling each other and beside them, there was a rank 2 dark-spotted cheetah.

So, Porter explained about it as they continued to ride the high-quality horses deeper into the forest.

\'Swoosh\'

Soon, Lucas saw the first living spirit beast in the Baron grounds of the forest.

\'A red-eyed devil rabbit.\'

Lucas knew the name of the spirit beast as he was a commonly found rank 1 spirit beast in the outskirts of the Baron grounds.

Surprisingly, the red-eyed devil rabbit didn\'t attack him; instead, it hopped towards his horse with its sharp teeth.

\'Puchi\'

Before it could bite the horse, Lucas threw the short swords in his hand to pin the red-eyed devil rabbit to the ground.

\'Ding,

The host killed a rank 1 red-eyed devil rabbit. No Sovereign points were gained.

\'Ding,

Mission progress:- 1/ 100.

Just as he killed the one-meter devil rabbit, Lucas received a couple of system notifications giving him a pleasant surprise.

\'So, I can gain sovereign points like this too?\'

Even though he didn\'t get any sovereign points for his first kill, he was satisfied to know that he could gain sovereign points by killing the spirit beasts.

"Master, it might be attracted to high-quality horses."

Porter jumped down from his horse and picked the dead devil rabbit before throwing it into a big sack which he prepared before leaving the manor.

At the same time, he explained the reason why the devil rabbit was focused on the horses while giving Lucas\'s short sword back to it.

Lucas\'s family excel in the dao of short swords and his father\'s mastery had reached to the highest level in them. So, he used the short swords as the \'Hellmore\' family\'s insignia.

So, the old man Bernard gave two short swords to Lucas while leaving the manor to protect himself.

"Isn\'t it better?"

Lucas replied to Porter as he thought of an idea, "Porter, let\'s tier our horses here and wait beside those boulders."

And the idea was to use the high-quality horses as bait to kill the rank 1 spirit beasts.

He was not worried that he would attract rank 2 spirit beasts because it was common sense that only rank 1 spirit beasts would be interested in the normal animals like these horses.

Nodding his head, Porter tied the horses to a tree before waiting for the rank 1 spirit beasts to take the bait.

\'Portor, as I said, unless I ask for your help, you don\'t have to kill a single spirit beast.\'

Lucas had already ordered Porter before entering the forest and now, he did it once again.

\'Yes, master.\'

Porter guessed that Lucas was to experience the blood rush while fighting the spirit beasts; however, Lucas was only thinking about the mission. The more rank 1 spirit beasts he killed, the quicker he could finish the mission and get the reward.

\'Kur kr\'

\'Kur kr\'

Lucas and Porter didn\'t wait for much longer before the rank 1 red-eyed devil rabbits started appearing.

However, unlike the first devil rabbit, they were careful as they looked at their surroundings.

\'They are intelligent. No wonder, they became rank 1 spirit beasts.\'

Lucas was surprised at the behaviour of the devil rabbits.

Finally, a few devil rabbits approached the black horses and the horses started struggling to escape from that place.

However, they were tied to the tree. So, no matter how hard they tried, they were unable to break free.

\'Kur ku\'

\'Kur ku\'

Seeing those struggling horses, the devil rabbits became excited as they always enjoyed the struggle of their prey.

Without wasting any time, they jumped on the horses.

\'Master, they are going to kill the horses.\'

Porter became anxious while looking at the horses.

For him, those horses cost 200 gold coins and if they die, it would be a waste of 200 gold coins.

\'Swoosh\'

\'Swoosh\'

\'Puchi\'

\'Puchi\'

\'What?\'

Just as Porter was feeling that all young men from rich families are the same, he saw something that made his eyes wide open.
