The Villain's Little Cat

Chapter 230 - 230 Training as Human

She was sure that she hadn’t interacted much with this former classmate of hers. After all, the two of them usually didn’t have class together. So they didn’t actually know each other that well before the giant mutated animals appeared.

And after these giant mutated animals appeared, they were technically enemies.

Though, Lotus had never met with Kate right away.

But why did Lotus look so fearful of her?

This unexplained occurrence made Kate wonder whether there was actually something that Lotus knew but she didn’t. After all, Kate was sure that she hadn’t done anything towards Lotus.

After thinking for a bit, Kate really couldn’t figure it out.

Lotus just suddenly feel fear towards Kyle and now she suddenly felt immense fear towards her too.

Were they so scary?

.....

Kate was confused, but she chose not to think too much and walked with Lucy towards the room designated for them.

“Do you want to take a bath too?” Lucy asked curiously.

Kate shook her head. Instead, she was looking at the room all around the location, wondering whether there will be people who would be spying on them. After all, they were all outsiders from City H. There was no way the people here would be so trusting of them so suddenly.

At the very least, she didn’t think that they would trust them so much.

Lucy seemed to understand what Kate was thinking when she saw Kate was looking around like that. Her eyes narrowed and the corner of her lips curled up to form an evil smile.

“It seems we do have to be more careful to make sure no one will try to take advantage of us.”

“Right.” Kate shrugged. “I’ll just rest and meditate a bit.”

In fact, what Kate wanted to know was whether there was any different between her usual practice and when she had turned into a human or not. She had never practiced when she was a human being, so she was curious.

The time when she was being a little kid didn’t count.

She didn’t even last long when she was being a kid much less finding a time for her to practice. Since her mental age was far older, she felt very uncomfortable to be a little kid again, so Kate usually didn’t stay as a kid for a long period of time.

For her, it was more comfortable to be a cat.

“Alright, I won’t disturb you then.” Lucy shrugged. “Also, how long do you want to stay this way?”

“There’ll be dinner together later right?” Kate asked instead of answering.

Lucy pursed her lips. She could guess that what Kate wanted was actually to interact more with Kyle when it was dinner time. That way, their interaction wouldn’t be too awkward and others wouldn’t suspect much.

Though, when Kate and Kyle were officially together, there will definitely more problems arose in the future.

Well, it was not her business.

She just wanted to live well around Kate and the others. There was definitely no need for her to meddle with their relationship. She was not such a woman who would meddle too much in other people’s private matters.

“Whatever then. I hope that you can still have good relationship with each other.”

“Don’t worry. When did you see me having bad relationship with others?” Kate laughed and waved her hand.

Lucy looked at Kate but didn’t care anymore. She swaggered to the bathroom and planned on washing her face. While taking a bath might make them more privy to others’ prying eyes, washing her face should be fine.

With that in thought, Lucy simply continued walking towards the bathroom.

Splash! Splash!

While Lucy was washing her face, Kate sat down on the bed and recalled Kyle’s practice. She had seen his way of practicing and slowly tried to sense the elements all around her body and outside too.

To her surprise, it was extremely easy for her to do so.

Not only that. She also noticed that the elements all around her body seemed to respond to her call and willingly enter her body, nourishing her core to get stronger. There was not even any need for her to work hard as from time to time, these elements would slowly enter her core and slowly nourishing it.

This made Kate a bit speechless.

She guessed that this had something to do with the fact that she had transformation gem inside her body. That transformation gem seemed to be able to attract the elements needed for the other two gems.

She’s both human and cat.

For animals, their training was faster than human because their body would naturally develop naturally.

This was one of their advantage.

It was something that Kate had naturally seen and experienced herself.

This made her wondered whether humans would actually be suppressed by the giant mutated animals in the future or not. After all, these giant mutated animals could develop faster than human.

Of course, that excluded the humans who were using the gems to improve.

The problem was the fact that these gems were limited.

Kate was thinking while still trying to practice. It seemed that even if she was not focused, her practice didn’t seem to be interrupted in the slightest bit. If others were to find out the fact that she could train like this, they would definitely want to vomit blood.

They all practiced hard day and night to reach this level, but there were others who could reach high level without having to practice tirelessly.

Who could accept it?

Thankfully, they didn’t know.

Time passed quietly and Lucy was sitting near the window, listening to the people clamoring outside. She always liked gossip, but it was a pity that after this incident, there were not many people who had the time to gossip around.

“Kate,” Lucy suddenly called out.

“Mhm?” Kate opened her eyes and looked at Lucy. Different with others who trained by meditating, Lucy’s training was beating up people… I mean, fighting with others.

Thus, Lucy had no interest in training like Kate.
