Chapter 363 - Oranges In Winter

Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei came back to Country C on Christmas Eve (24th of December). To spend the night in their home before traveling to the Liu Villa the next day to celebrate Christmas with them.

There were no outsiders, just few of the Liu family members. The Christmas celebration went on very well.

Liu Huiling came with her daughters, but her husband was no where to be seen. Normally, Liu Huiling should be with her husband, and celebrating Christmas with his family. But because of the problems between them, Liu Huiling refused to be at the same space with her husband.

And in other to achieve that, she called her mother earlier to inform her that hse and her daughters would be spending Christmas with them.

Although Madam Liu knew that her daughter was currently in a rocky relationship with her husband, she couldn\'t say anything apart from giving her advises since she refused to divulge anything to her.

Liu Liwei who has been absent for a while because he has been filming a blockbuster Hollywood movie, where he got to feature in a major role, was currently present.

He seemed to very happy to see his sister-in-law more than anybody. In fact, he was having a good time chatting with her in the kitchen as she kneaded a dough.

"You said you missed me so much, but you didn\'t care to give me a call." Chen Lihua said to him, not believing a word he said.

"Sister-in-law, that\'s because I didn\'t have the time. Look at me, I have lost weight because there was no time to even have a proper me. I apologize." Liu Liwei said truthfully.

Filming has been serious and strenuous that there was hardly any time to take a break and have proper food.

Liu Liwei was filming an action movie where he had a major role to play so obviously, it wasn\'t an easy task.

"I believe you. Call me Lihua, that sister-in-law sounds like a long process." Chen Lihua said as she continued to knead the dough.

"Alright. Lihua." Liu Liwei said as he gave it a try. But before he could be happy for too long, he felt his ear being pulled by somebody.

"Ah Ah!" He cried out in pain. "Who dares to..." He suddenly paused in the middle of his sentence.

"Ah! Big brother, it\'s you? You may continue."Liu Liwei said in a smile when he saw Liu Longwei.

"What was it you were about to say just now?." Liu Longwei asked in a threatening tone as he gave him a hard stare, while still pulling his ear.

"Nothing Big brother, nothing." Liu Liwei answered in a smile and hissed out of pain because of his ear being pulled hard.

"Darling let him go, that looks painful." Liu Longwei said to Liu Longwei in a smile.

"Not yet, he needs to learn his lessons." Liu Longwei said to her before turning to look at his brother to ask, "What did you call my wife shortly before I came in?."

"LI....Lihua." Liu Longwei replied in tension and screamed when he felt his ear being pulled harder.

"Is that the right way to address your eldest brother\'s wife?." Liu Longwei questioned.

"No...no....no." Liu Liwei replied in pains.

"Then what should you address her as?." Asked Liu Longwei.

"Sister-in...." Liu Liwei stopped half way when he saw Chen Lihua\'s raised brows. He immediately changed his words.

\'Ah!.\' It\'s so hard to please both husband and wife.\' He lamented in his heart.

"Sister Lihua." He said at last, and Liu Longwei let go of his ear.

"Good. Remember never to overstep your boundaries. You may be of the same age with my Baby but she is my wife, or you will see yourself quitting your acting career at the peak to manage one of our Company\'s branches, far away from home." Liu LOngwei threatened.

"Yes brother, I understand." Liu Liwei replied. "Sister Lihua, see you at the dinner table." He said to Chen Lihua before running away with a tail between his legs.

When he was sure to have ran far away from the kitchen, he stopped at a place to breathe.

"I can\'t believe he threatened my life because i didn\'t use honorific while addressing his wife. Bad big brother." Liu Liwei said in an annoyed tone and turned to leave when he had a strict female voice say, "Watch your steps young man."

Madam Liu who was carrying some unpeeled oranges in a bowl said to him.

"Oranges in Winter? Mum where did you get these oranges from?." Liu Liwei asked in surprise as he stretched forth his hand to pick an orange.

Madam Liu moved the bowl of Oranges to the side, thereby evading the incoming hand. "Ju Ju gave them to me."

"Sister Lihua\'s mum? She must have put a lot of effort into getting these oranges during this winter season." Liu Liwei said in complimented with his eyes glued to the pretty looking oranges.

He was contemplating if he should try taking another orange, and if his mother wouldn\'t slap tears out of his eyes in the process. But on second thought, he gave up that idea.

This was Christmas day, and his face needed to stay pretty for getting the attention of girls for the parties he would be attending.

Madam Liu wanted to walk forward when she noticed how red his ear was.So she asked him worriedly, "What happened to you ears, why are they red?."

Liu Liwei touched his ear as he grumbled in reply. "It\'s big brother\'s doing."

"Tell me, what did you do?. My Longwei is not unreasonable, and I know he wouldn\'t do that to you if it wasn\'t necessary." Madam Liu said in support of her eldest son\'s actions.

Liu Liwei went on to explain what transpired in the kitchen. Instead of being consoled, he received a smack on his shoulder. Then he watched his mother walk away after leaving these words behind. "That serves you right".

Liu Liwei was speechless as he watched his mother walk away.

"I\'m not surprised at all that you wouldn\'t support me, I have always known that you picked me up from the streets when I was little, you guys just don\'t want to admit it." He said in annoyed tone.

"What did you say?!." An old stern voice asked from the side.
